ROYSTON Actor and Supporting Artiste It was an old pro, Billy Davies (Fishy Bill) who I had known since the 1960s who introduced me to the business in 1970. I started on a part time basis, but since 1990 I began to work at it more or less full time, subject to the availability of work of course. And we all know what that can be like! Having had a successful advertising career I still try to keep my hand in with the odd design project, which helps to fill the slack days. I also design z cards for fellow artistes, so if you’re interested why not give me a call. Early starts, long hours and simply just hanging around goes with the territory, but this is more than offset by the people you meet. For example, there is Jimmy Linton the perennial ‘stand-in’ for the likes of Roger Moore. And Roger Layton the king of cruise ship entertainers whose had more dinners than sex, if you know what I mean. Then there are the ladies who brighten many a dull day. Some of whom are featured here. So do take a look. There’s always someone with an interesting story to pass the time. Did I ever tell you about the time I got drunk with Tom Baker, then there was the night I took Barbara Windsor home.........Ah, but I digress. Another time perhaps. Meet Ron Bone and you’ll know what I mean. If he misses you the first time as sure as eggs is eggs he’ll get you next time. Whilst I’m happy to play any part I
seem to specialise in Arabs. I have even played Osama Bin Laden, but not many people know
that!
